Q: If Cuba was very near Russia, i am sure the USA would not object to having missile facilities based there. However, as we all know cuba is on the doorstep to the USA,same as Poland is to Russia, however Russia, has to accept that Poland will have amercian based missiles site there. Georgia and the Ukraine will also, in time have these missiles, which as we all know well, are for peaceful use only and will never be used against Russia. A: The answer to your question is no. Neither should America set up a missile base in Poland. Both are intimidating to the other side so why do it. A missile base could be set up anywhere away from Russia or America. These things do travel a very long way.
